Pranayams and Yoga for healthy living.....By Cdr Rajnish.(Retd)

A FRIENDLY SUGGESTION

I wish all my colleagues in the Indian Navy, excellent physical, mental and spiritual health. For this do start regular practice of a set of seven pranayams* (breathing exercises). Include a few simple exercises and asanas. Some dietary discipline and positive thoughts will increase benefits many folds. Do the practice on empty stomach, preferably in the mornings for about 45 minutes to one hour. Thus reduce visits to ECHS and intake of medicines (with doctor’s advice of course). My wife and I have tremendously benefited from this practice.
*Bhrastika, Kapal bhati, Bahiya - Agnisar, Aulom Vilom, Nadi shodhan, Bhramari, and Udgeet
Watch Swami Ramdev’s TV programs and refer to books/ CD’s for guidance. This has nothing to do with religion or faiths.
